All Score Urbana is presenting two two-hour music composition workshops with composition teachers and performers in the February and March 2020 at Urbana-Champaign Independent Media Center.
These workshops are for beginning and continuing composers of all kinds. Each workshop would begin with a half hour of family-friendly storytime with live improvised music, then have an hour and a half for composers to work on music they are writing with the performers/teaching artists and composers. At the end of the second workshop, works will be performed by the teaching artists. This iteration of All Score will include composer/flutist Matthew Reeder, violist Elsie Han, and saxophonist Nick Ortiz.
