We received funding from the Urbana Arts and Culture Commission to present a new iteration of All Score Urbana that will include a kickoff 24 Hour Compose-A-Thon at the Rose Bowl Tavern (24 hours to write, 24 hours to learn the perform), interactive composition workshops with composition and performance faculty on hand to help you, and a final concert of completed works. We are currently working out scheduling, but we are planning for a mid-fall start of the program. We will eventually have a sign-up form for both the 24 Hour Compose-A-Thon (we will pair up composers/songwriters withs performers for it, or you can suggest pairings) and the general program.
We are currently exploring additional grants to expand the electronic music education elements of this and related programs we aim to do during this year’s project.
